Since OB has grown larger and plans to merge with another website I want to set some things straight and I will do that in this privacy statement.
IMPORTANT POINTS OF THIS STATEMENT:
1) YOUR PRIVACY IS IMPORTANT TO US!.
You as our viewer should know that we take your privacy seriously. All the stories put on this site come from viewers just like you. If you do not want you're named posted with the stories you submit, PLEASE TELL US. If you do not tell us and we put your name with the story WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE.
2)SUBMITTING STORIES
If it is not your story DONT SUBMIT IT. People may get mad if you tell their story on the internet. IF THIS DOES HAPPEN OB IS NOT RESPONSIBLE. If you do submit a story of someone else and they don't want you to PLEASE CONTACT OB IMMEDIATELY and the story will be taken off. YOU CAN ONLY SUBMIT STORIES THROUGH OB'S EMAIL, OB'S MYSPACE, or OB'S FACEBOOK. DO NOT POST IT ON TWITTER.
3) WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE
IF YOU SEND OB AN EMAIL TELLING US TO POST SOMETHING and we do then later it is ruled unethical, unruly, harmful, etc. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE...YOU ARE. BOTTOM LINE...if you send us something to post and it somehow gets by the OB TEAM and it is posted and it is harmful to someone, malicious, etc. it will be taken off and you will be contacted and told the reason why it has been taken off the site. THIS IS SO WE DON'T GET IN TROUBLE. ALL POSTS WILL BE MONITORED THROUGH OB'S EMAIL.
4) PRIVACY CONCERNING EMAIL ADDRESS, MYSPACE PROFILES, FACEBOOK, TWITTER, ETC.
YOUR EMAIL: will NOT be given to a third party. Once you send us an email is the end of us having your email address. WE DO NOT SAVE THEM. When you email OB it is completely secure, no one else will get it and OB WILL NOT SAVE. I can't stress that enough. THE ONLY EXCEPTION TO THIS IS IF YOU ASK US TO SAVE YOUR EMAIL. When you send us a story we will send you back a confirmation email (all you do is state that you confirm it is your story and that you are completely responsible for that story--IT WILL ALSO ASK YOU IF YOU WANT IT CONFIDENTIAL)
MYSPACE: WE WILL NOT GIVE YOUR MYSPACE OUT. THE ONLY WAY WE WILL CONTACT YOU THROUGH YOUR MYSPACE IS IF YOU SEND US A MESSAGE ON THERE. WE DO NOT SPAM. If you decide to become our friend on myspace that's as far as the communication on myspace will go UNTIL WE HAVE A SPECIAL EVENT OR SOMETHING INTERESTING IS HAPPENING then we will send you ONE message via Myspace to let you know what going on. WE DO NOT OWN MYSPACE SO YOU MUST ABIDE BY THEIR TERMS & CONDITIONS.
FACEBOOK: The same thing applies for facebook. WE WILL NOT GIVE OUT YOUR FACEBOOK, WE WILL NOT CONTACT YOU THROUGH FACEBOOK (unless you want us to or there is a special event or something interesting happening) IF YOU WISH TO NOT BE CONTACTED ON BY OB VIA FACEBOOK PLEASE TELL US THAT. You must abide by Facebook terms & conditions.
TWITTER: IF YOU DECIDE TO FOLLOW US ON TWITTER THAT IS GREAT. RULE OF OB TWITTER: 1) DONT post any story submission on our twitter, we want those through a private message via myspace/facebook or through our email. WE WILL NOT FOLLOW YOU UNLESS YOU ASK US TO. You must abide by Twitter terms & conditions.
